Rev Dr Christina Loughran explains why integration is necessary and how the Incarnation of Christ provides the foundation to therapeutic healing. She illustrates how the most popular therapy models can be used to incorporate the Christian faith and how to adapt some Catholic spiritual practices for secular use in therapy.

Rev Dr Christina Loughran is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, who trained at the Maudsley Eating Disorder Unit before working at the Priory and now, for the HCA Healthcare U.K. with corporate clients, including fund managers, bankers and lawyers. She was a Criminal Barrister for 20 years with a Masters degree in Law from UCL, having practised in both Hong Kong and London. Whilst in Hong Kong, she had worked for Jackie Pullinger’s Ministry with drug addicts and street sleepers. Christina was ordained by the Old Catholic Apostolic Church after completing her degree in Theology at St. Mellitus and is currently setting up the St. Dymphna Christian Psychological Healing Ministry in Bristol. She is also a Spiritual Director trained at Sarum and remains a practising Charismatic Roman Catholic.
